Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
What is Clean Diesel?
Our Clean Diesel is uncontaminated bacteria free diesel that does not clog filters or damage your engine. In the U.S., the definition of Clean Diesel is ultra-low sulfur diesel.
Why does it cost so much?
It doesn't. The DE-BUG price covers the product development, patents, testing and marketing - apart from the materials. Most important - unlike most products on the market - it lasts a lifetime. Consider the savings on equipment and it is an investment in your profitability - like an insurance policy.
How long does a DE-BUG last?
There is nothing to wear out. It is a permanent unit with no moving parts. Basically, unless dropped or damaged, it lasts forever.
What maintenance is needed?
During regular engine maintenance remove the drain plug to release any accumulated sludge or slime. The L140 does not have a drain plug. It can be drained or flushed through its ports.
Do I have to change any parts?
No. There is no element to change. At most, if the unit has been disassembled several times, it may be wise to change the o-ring. This is rare.
Can I use biocides, as well as a DE-BUG?
No. Biocides should not be used with a DE-BUG. Our magnetic action destroys live cells and fragments them to burn in combustion. Biocides interfere with this and leave a residue of dead cells at the bottom of your tank that can block filters. Remember, you can't kill a dead cell!
How often should I change my filters?
Rule of thumb is every 250 running hours. Individual engine manufacturers have their own specifications for their engines. These are set down in the engine manual. Some new engines are computer monitored. Filter changes are indicated as the engine begins to run slower. With a De -Bug one expects 5 to 10 times longer filter life.
